Minted

(modelcouture)

There are days when I feel a simple white shirt and plain skirt is the order of the day, but then I look in the mirror and think I look incredibly empty.  One of the shocks from going from Balmania to Philophile is that the two looks are the opposite ends of the spectrum.  One thrives on extravagance, glamour and sequins while the other is classic, understated and simple. A simple way to merge the two looks is to add accessories.  I love this editorial as it shows how there can be a bit of drama to the cream coloured outfits, the gold compliments the colours beautifully.

Dazed and Confused, Lakshmi Menon, Amanda Norgaard

(fashiongonerogue)

Two of my favourite models, Amanda seems to be everywhere on the blogosphere at the moment and Lakshmi - well. She's just gorgeous isn't she? I like the grunge yet simple style of the editorial.  This is how I want to do simplicitiy this winter.

Nicole Hill

Love the dreamy, hippie aspect to this.  Summer is still good, despite the longing for winter.

Paris Vogue, September 2003

The red dress in the fourth picture looks a lot like the red dress that Giovanna wore in a previous post.  Fashion, like history, repeats itself.

Go Nude

Following on from my post about beige, here are some eds to inspire you.  I think the way Chloe styled their show meant that beige was presented as a very mature, classic, professional look, but it doesn't have to look that way.  There's obviously the masculine looks that are ideal for work, but the ways which Topshop have styled their lookbook makes it more outdoorsy and practical.

I'm in the process of deleting my old posts from missspragg from here, they will all be available in that blog though if you would like to look through them.
