Rodarte
I'm very disappointed. Hugely so - NYFW was one big let down. But Rodarte saved a possibly disastrous week, with their gorgeous textures, cuts, colours and shoes. Thank god for those sisters. Here's hoping London will do better. I'm looking forward to Erdem, Burberry Prorsum, Christopher Kane, Richard Nicoll, Peter Pilotto, Unique, Charles Anastase and Lousie Goldin. So, quite a few then.

Organic by John Patrick
It's not everyday that you come across a brand or designer that does environmentally and ethically friendly fashion is a good way - a way that makes you want to buy the clothes for the clothes themselves in addition to to the good cause.
Organic by John Patrick is one such collection. He uses recycled fabric, eco-conscious practises, and organic materials. Not only that, but his clothes are exactly the kind of thing I want to wear, with his collection styled with great tailoring.

What Models Wear
For all the wonderful new collections on show, one of my favourite parts of Fashion week is seeing elusive models parade around a city like a flock of skinny jeans and leather jacket clad gazelles. It's really the only time you see models out of their natural habitat of an unfurnished apartment with a fridge stocked with celery, diet coke and marlboro lights. And thankfully, those watching at home have a brave army of streetstyle photographers willing to capture the beautiful, yet surely dangerous animals due to their long limbs, as they navigate an unknown land.

I can't decide what I like more, the first image of the three supers or Abbey's incredible outfit and bleach blonde hair.

New York Fashion Week Part Two
Alexander Wang
So much of Wang's collections are hit and miss, last season for me was an utter disaster with the majority of the peices ugly and unwearable. His collections lack a continuity that other designers have but having said that, this season was a lot better with some gorgeous pieces. And it's official, white is definitely in next season. And it's a colour I will not be wearing, as I'm an utter klutz that trips over air, drops expensive glasses and spills food on my favourite clothes. It's just safer that way.
Charlotte Ronson
Love the collection like I did last seasons', she continues her grunge trend successfully with gorgeous sheer pieces, floaty frilly fabrics and socks teamed with boots. My favourite collection so far, it's exactly the way I (or would like to) dress.

New York Fashion Week
It's New York Fashion Week already. When did that happen? I'll be honest, it has snuck up on me some what and now I'm trying to catch up. There were a few things I wanted to post about before the fashion weeks hit but that may now have to wait.
So, day two (technically its day three but time differences must allow artist license...) into NYFW and there's nothing really I've fallen in love with, which is unsurprising considering its only day two and New York never really delivers in the way Paris, Milan and London does. Still, here are my (rather slim) pickings of Fashion Week thus far.
Nicholas K
military, tan and olive colours, nomadic, slouchy, heavy duty boots, brown, earthy tones, hoods, comfortable, traveller, shirts, draping, oversized bag.
Nicole Miller
sheer, white, light weight fabrics, chiffon, grey, shirts, maxis, floaty, relaxed, green, black, neutrals, moody
I'm looking foward to Charlotte Ronson, Diane Von Furstenberg, Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Jill Stuart, Marc Jacobs and Rebecca Taylor.
